Getting Full or Provisional License

After you have carried out the driving test. You will receive a certificate of competency by the driving examiner (Or the Driving examiner will advise you the result verbally).

If you have failed the Driving test, you will need to do the driving test once again until pass.

If you have passed the Driving test, refer the following steps in order to get your Full license or provisional license.

Pre – requisites (Prior Condition before Application)

1. Driving Test Passed (For all Classes).
2. Level 1 DDC Passed (Only If application is for Full license for class 1, 2 or 8).
3. Level 2 DDC Passed (Only If application is for classes 3, 4 or 5 licenses).
4. Provisional License Expired (Only If application is for Full license for class 1, 2 or 8).

Checklists (What to bring)

1. Carry with you your learners permit card so that the CSO can search for your application quickly.
2. Surrender any other license you have to the CSO.

Process

1. Fill in the application form (you can get this form online or at LTA’s office).
2. Submit the application form together with the checklist (as mentioned above) to the Customer Service Officer (CSO).
3. Once the CSO has updated your application in the system, you will need to pay the Fees.
4. After you have paid the application fees and you have got your receipt, go to the card printing officer’s counter and get your printed card.
