Vehicles driven on the Fiji Roads has to be registered by the Land Transport Authority. With over ninety eight thousand Vehicles currently registered Land Transport ensures that proper standards and procedures are followed.
Part IV LTA ACT on Registration of Motor Vehicles and Trailers Section (49)
States: (1) A person who owns a motor vehicle or trailer shall register the motor vehicle or trailer with Authority irrespective of whether the motor vehicle or trailer is to be used exclusively on private property.
Motor Vehicle to comply with regulation as to construction, equipment, dimension and load applicable to class or description to which the motor vehicle or trailer belongs.
