Driving is a significant responsibility, and it’s essential to build strong skills and knowledge before progressing to a provisional license.
Strict Measures for Learner’s Permit Holders:
- Supervised Driving Only:
- * Always drive with a supervising driver who holds a full valid class two (2) licence and
- * No unsupervised driving at any time
- Driving Hours Requirements:
- * Complete 10 hours of theory and 20 hours of practical driving.
- * Ensure that the Learner Driving (Practical) Workbook is filled after every session
- * Before signing the workbook, you must ensure that the instructor fills in the following details correctly;
- * The date lesson was conducted
- * The duration of the lesson covered
- * Theory or Practical lessons undertaken
- * Venue of the training (street/road junction etc)
- * Time of the day or night for night driving
- * Once confirmed the above details, Learner and Instructor must sign the workbook
- * At the end of the training the Learner must provide an evaluation/assessment of the Instructor
- * The workbook is the property of the learner and must be kept by the learner and must be produced to the instructor when undergoing training
- Passenger Limits:
- * The supervising driver who is a full licence holder will be the only passenger who will accompany the learner.
- Zero Tolerance for Alcohol, Drugs and Driving related infringement:
- * Strictly no alcohol or drugs consumption before or during driving.
- * Zero tolerance on all driving traffic infringement.
- Speed limit
- * Must drive within the posted speed limit
- * Must display ‘L’ plate both front and rear of the vehicle at all times and should not obscure the number plate

- Before commencing training with a Driving Instructor, the learner must demand for the Driving Instructors Permit
- Learners Permit Card
- * Must carry your valid Leaners Permit card at all times and must produce upon demand by an Authorized Officer
