The Land Transport Authority is now seriously focusing on the suspension of driver license and vehicle de-registration of habitual offenders.
The attitude of drivers and vehicle owners has prompted the Authority to take this step as the safety of the travelling public cannot be compromised by any means.
The Authority has started taking action on drivers along the Suva -Nausori corridor which is one of the busiest routes in Suva, and has suspended four driver license for a period of six months and one for one year today.
The Authority will be tackling vehicle owners once the list of reckless drivers is cleared.
Motorists are to take driving seriously as we cannot afford to have dangerous, disrespectful and reckless drivers on our roads.
The travelling public of Fiji needs to be protected from bad drivers and the Authority will ensure people feel safe on the road. LTA will not tolerate drivers who continuously break and disregard the law.
