The Land Transport Authority’s (LTA) Suva Express Office was officially opened today by the Honorable Acting Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, Mr. Jone Usamate at the Fiji National Provident Fund Plaza in Suva.
In his speech, Mr. Usamate said the flagship office came at the time when there was an increased demand for the LTA services as the public continued to invest in the transport sector, for which they required fast and efficient services.
Therefore, the Minister stated that the office had opened to cater to this demand and provide easily accessible services to LTA’s valuable customers.
The LTA Board Chairman, Mr. Vijay Maharaj revealed that LTA will soon open an Express Office in Lautoka and will transform the Nadi LTA office to provide full fledge operations.
The Suva LTA Express Office began its operations on a high note as large number of customers were served soon after the office was officially opened.
The Suva LTA Express Office at Shop 16 and Shop 17, Ground floor, FNPF Plaza, will be operational from Monday to Friday from 8 am to 4:30pm and from 9 am to 1pm on Saturdays.
The LTA services at this office will include:
- Payment of vehicle inspection fees
- Vehicle registration fees (wheel tax for post inspected vehicle)
- Driver license renewal
- Payment of TINs or fine
- Search of records
- Fee payment, booking and result enquiries for Defensive Driving Course and
- Accident Compensation Commission Fiji, Motor Vehicle Levy Collection
The new office is headed by a Team Leader with five customer services officers.
