A number of vehicles were confiscated on August 11 and taken to the LTA headquarters in Valelevu.
Vehicles were modified and not road worthy in accordance with regulations. The modifications include illegal tints, illegal exhaust (hot dogs’), mufflers, and hot dogs’ system causing noise nuisance.
Vehicles will be inspected by LTA vehicle examiners. Vehicle owners have been summoned by the LTA and LTA will carry out the process before returning the vehicles.
LTA wishes to advise vehicles owners to seek prior approval from LTA before carrying out modifications of vehicles from manufacturers of original specifications.
