The Land Transport Authority (LTA) officially opened its new fully-fledged Office in Nadi at the Back Road and Lautoka Express Office at Naviti Street on Thursday, 29 August 2019.
The Authority was delighted to have two very distinguished guests to perform the openings. Attorney General and Minister for Economy, Civil Service and Communications Honourable Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum was the Chief Guest at the opening of the new Nadi fully-fledged Office while LTA Board Chairperson Mr. Vijay Maharaj opened the Lautoka Express Office.
Mr. Maharaj acknowledged the support of the Government in the opening of the two offices.
The new offices are fundamental part of LTA’s service reform and growth to provide Fijians better access to LTA’s services.
“It has been a long journey for the new LTA Board in contemplating on important reforms in vehicle inspection process and vehicle registration, outsourcing of LTA’s vehicle inspection service and offshore vehicle inspection services, set-up of weighbridges and machines, installation of Qmatic software to streamline the face to face services offered at LTA’s customer care offices are some of the key service reforms to improve LTA’s service delivery to all Fijians as part of LTA’s changes which the new board is very much changed with,” Mr. Maharaj said.
