LTA has noticed motor cycles with non-approved rear number plates. These vehicles may not operate on Fijian Roads.
It is mandatory for all motor cycles to go through a LTA authentication process which includes the fixing of the approved number plate by the LTA before operating on any Fiji road. This is for the legal and safety reasons of motor cyclists.
If anyone caught driving a motor cycle without an approved number plate will be issued with a traffic infringement notice of $100.00.
Motor cyclists are advised to take heed of this warning as Police and LTA will be paying particular attention to this aspect of compliance with the law.
